SULFUR HEXAFLUORIDE (SF6)

Portable Units

RAPIDOX SF6 6100 - Range of 0-100% Volume - Designed for controlling and monitoring the quality of SF6 in MV & HV gas insulated electrical equipment. Housed within a heavy duty IP66 Peli case, this highly portable, lightweight field instrument weighs a total of only 8.5kg. A lithium battery provides over eight hours of operation. Exceptional accuracy and stability are provided when measuring the purity of SF6 gas, through specially selected sensors. Other measurable gases include H2O (dew point), SO2, HF, O2 & CF4. Due to the instruments modular design, a number of configurations are available in order to suit a variety of application requirements. In order to accelerate the time taken in-between dew point readings, a unique Rapidri system is fitted to analysers measuring H2O. When not in use the sensor can be isolated via the ‘Run - Storage’ valve.

Internal SF6 gas pressure is recorded and logged by the analyser. All measured gases are analysed and data-logged simultaneously with only a few minutes required to achieve a stable reading. A gas output nozzle allows for the analyser to be attached to the Rapidox Gas Recovery Bag, ensuring that all sampled SF6 gas is recovered. The analyser is pre-programmed with all current IEC and CIGRE test configurations, and also offers the facility to create customised tests that can be saved on the system for future use. Measurement data is viewed in real time on the display and is saved to the analyser memory. The data is available for download via a USB memory stick in an MS Excel compatible format.

Easy to operate and configure, the Rapidox SF6 6100 Portable features a 7” (18cm) full colour touch screen interface with soft menu key controls, alongside an alphanumeric keypad that enables the user to edit test locations and user names. An integrated thermal printer also allows the user the option of printing on-site test results that include details such as gas measurements, date, operator and site details. DN8 and DN20 couplings, as well as a range of stainless steel braided sampling hoses, are available for use with SF6 gas insulated electrical equipment.

SB1000 & SB2000 - Ranges of 0-1000 ppm to 0-100% Volume - The new SB1000 & SB2000 are low cost, self-contained portable and wall mounted analyzers that utilize single beam infrared technology to provide high selectivity, excellent sensitivity, and repeatability. One optional internal electrochemical sensor for Oxygen, Hydrogen Sulfide, or another toxic gas in PPM levels can also be installed in any unit. These single gas analyzers then become dual gas analyzers. The resolution and accuracy is about 1% resolution of full scale for any of the sensors in these analyzers.

Wall Mounted Units

MGA 3000 - Ranges of 0-0.2% Volume (0-2000 ppm) to 0-100% Volume - Single or multiple gas analyzers that use advanced Infrared and several other field proven technologies to analyze up to four gases at once. These units with built-in air pumps can be used in hostile or friendly environments. The option to upgrade at a later time protects your initial investment. A robust, attractive, compact 3U rack mount enclosure houses the unit with an optional bench case available for non-rack mounted applications. Many different gases from low ppm to 100% Volume levels can be analyzed and monitored
